Tuesday Treasures

I have not blogged for a very long time, but this year i hope to do better. today I would like to join with Melody for Tuesday Treasures.
I am very late showing these little treasures also, as most Christmas decorations would be tucked away.
but these Jim Shore Santas were brought home for me by my Dear Daughter on a recent trip to America, I just love them, and found it hard to relegate them to the Christmas cupboard.
Perhaps we need a little Christmas all year round, and I could keep them out.Cheers R.

Tuesday Treasures

Since our wonderful Toby died,(I have blogged about him before) we have not had another dog of our own. These are our little Granddogs, Maggie, very muddy after playing in the wet garden, and Seymour, happily posing for the camera. They come to us whenever their families are away from home. They treat our place as their personal holiday resort,(be it ever so humble) and have us twisted around their paws, (a bit like the Grandkids really).

What would life be without the love and devotion of our pets?

Treasure from Russia

My treasure this week is a memento of my recent trip to Russia. A hand painted set of Matryoshka Dolls I bought at the beautiful Cathedral of St Peter and St Paul in St Petersburg. The set has ten pieces in all the little one smaller than a pea, but still with her tiny face painted on.

Teddy Bears Picnic

This is Ernest, a bear I made quite a while ago, he normally sits with a group of teddies in a small cane rocking chair in my hallway, but today he would love to join the other bears at Melody's Teddy Bears Picnic, he has his key to get back in when the picnic is all over.

Our Treasure Toby

This is our lovely old Golden Retriever Toby, who died at this time last year aged 15 years. Toby did not have a mean bone in his body, he loved all people and creatures great and small. People would stop us in the street to tell him how beautiful he was, he came to expect it, and was very disappointed if anyone walked on by without stopping for a chat. we miss old Toby, but if Dogs have a Heaven there's one thing I know, old Tobe has a wonderful home. Pop over to The House on Side of the Hill for more Pet Treasures.
